Embed the funeral cost calculator
If you write about funeral planning, end of life care, bereavement or estate matters, you are welcome to put our calculator on your own site. It is free, there is no signup, and it does not track your readers.
What your readers get
A funeral cost estimate for their own state, with the funeral home charges and the cemetery charges shown separately. That separation is the point. The most quoted figure in America, $8,300, is the funeral home’s bill only. The plot, opening and closing the grave, the vault and the marker are billed by a different business entirely and take a typical burial to $15,395. Almost every page on the internet quotes the first number and calls it the cost of a funeral.
State figures come from the National Funeral Directors Association General Price List Survey, spread across each division by the fees local funeral homes publish themselves, so a Mississippi estimate is not the same as a Connecticut one. Method and sources are published on the cost guide.

Terms, in full
- It is free, permanently. There is no plan that expires and no upsell.
- Keep the credit line. It is inside the frame already, so there is nothing you need to add. Please do not hide or crop it.
- We do not track your readers. The widget sets no cookies, has no analytics on it and sends nothing anywhere. It calculates in their browser.
- No lead capture inside the widget. Your readers are not asked for an email or a phone number to see their answer. If they want to speak to an agent they have to choose to come to us.
- You can restyle the frame, change the width or set your own border. Please do not alter the figures.
- Tell us if you spot an error and we will fix it and say so publicly.
Who this is meant for
Funeral consumer advocacy groups, hospice and palliative care organisations, senior centres, estate and elder law practices, financial planning sites, bereavement charities, libraries and university extension guides. If you are none of those and it is still useful, take it anyway.
It is deliberately not built for competing insurance sites to whitelabel, and there is nothing stopping you, but the credit line stays.
Want something we have not built?
If a different tool would be more useful to your readers, an urn size calculator, a state comparison, a cost projection, say so and we will look at building it. Reach us on (786) 818-0383.
